Global Resorts Network has been an interesting company to work with. Lots of HIGHS, then some LOWS.
If you like FAST money (and lots of it) and you're willing to work hard to get it, then Global Resorts Network might be a good opportunity for you.


Not so much MLM as it is a direct sales program, you earn $1,000 per sale once you're "qualified", and also earn $1K on sales passed up via a hybrid Australian 1-Up system.
The way the compensation plan works, you'll earn $1,000 on EVERY sale made by your qualifying distributor in each compensation level.
You really need to watch the video presentatinon to understand the power of the compensation plan, and realize that it REALLY works for distributors who are able to refer a really "heavy hitter" and place them in the right positioning.
ONE single referral I had in Global Resorts Network was responsible for 30+ sales in a month, which skyrocketed my income to nearly $50K in a month, with only about 12 of the $1,000 commissions being on my own sales. It was a really incredible and exciting few weeks to bank that much cash without much effort.
Speaking of effort, the reason the program converted so well was mainly due to the effectiveness of the marketing system I was using, which prequalified prospects with a funded proposal system and also offered advanced click tracking that allowed you to see a prospect through each step in the sales process.
I think GRN still owns the top spot as the company that's sent me the biggest check ever for one months worth of commission, and the beauty of it was I did NOTHING to promote this site other than invite marketers to a teleseminar that I held with another associate in the company that I work well with.
On average, we'd close about 20% of the people we'd get on those conferences, which is EXCELLENT when you're talking about a $3,000 startup cost and nearly $300 per month for the marketing system we were using.
** Best thing about the product: it's a lifetime travel deals membership that actually have some pretty outstanding offers, especially on short notice trips to tropical paradises.
** Best thing about the opportunity: Just ONE of my referrals contributed nearly $50,000 in commissions to me in a couple months (pure luck)
** Best thing about the marketing system (we used Reverse Funnel system): The TRACKING capabilities were awesome, you could see where every lead came from and where they were in the sales process.
** Worst thing about the opportunity: Some of my referrals that paid $3K to get involved didn't do so well. They jumped on board because they could sense my excitement about it, even if I tried to talk them out of joining.
** Worst thing about the marketing system: It cost $300 per month, recurring. That's a lot for people who don't recover their $3K startup cost and make some sales fast, resulting in a high attrition rate.
Overall Thoughts: Although I still have not yet put my Global Resorts Network travel benefits to use, I hear the vacations and accommodations are actually very good, and the prices are great.
As far as the opportunity, I've never had so much fun making money in my life. I got to do conference calls with a good friend and basically just have fun sharing the opportunity with others. It didn't even feel like work.
Eventually the "Reverse Funnel System" web site that we were using to generate leads and buzz about the opportunity lost steam and became ineffective, and with that the opportunity also lost some steam.
THE VERDICT: Very good company if you have a solid and effective plan for selling it, and you would rather make few HIGH DOLLAR sales and rely on your own skills and work ethic than that of others (like in MLM).
We personally spent about 1 hour per day, three days per week to break the $100,000 sales mark for a 30 day period. If you've never earned $4-$5K for holding a 30-45 minute teleseminar, I'll tell you what it's like. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on, maybe the most fun you can have period.
The main downside is that some people whose judgement would normally prevent them from joining this opportunity at a cost of $3,000 get caught up in the buzz and hype and get involved in a company they don't know how to promote and generate leads for, and they end up being out $3,000 and feeling discouraged and jaded about it.
Ultimately it was that very reason my partner and I decided to stop promoting this company. On another note, even though high ticket direct sales earnings are fun, they are also sporadic and not as reliable month-to-month as some residual income type programs.
Although my earnings wiped out a couple auto notes, bought a boat and got my wife a new set of (figure it out), it was "here today, gone tomorrow" type of income. I won't soon forget the fun of doing $100K in sales in a month though without really talking to anyone personally.
I recommend this program ONLY to experienced marketers who have an existing list, and who are comfortable with public speaking without being overly "hypey" with their message, and of course, who can afford the $3,000 risk of the startup cost without it really impacting their finances.
If you're looking for something long term and more predictable, stick with marketing/advertising type products or network marketing ;-)
